U.S. Coast Guard Produces New Safety Brochure
Children and Personal Watercraft
The U.S. Coast Guard’s Office of Boating Safety has recently produced a new safety brochure titled “Children and Personal Watercraft” that is now available to the public. This brochure places the essential information that parents and/or adult supervisors of children need to know before they operate a personal watercraft (PWC), at their fingertips.
Whether you own, rent, or borrow a PWC, this brochure offers readers basic information about who can ride/operate a PWC, helpful tips and advice on how to get PWC education, safe operation of PWCs, national statistics regarding the usage of PWCs, and web site links to boating safety organizations that offer additional information on what parents and guardians should know before they let children use a PWC.
